Climate Change Should Be Addressed by Everyone, Not Just Governments

Illustration about climate change - CO2 - 3DWhen it comes to doing good in the world, business often gets a bum rap for being singularly profit driven with little or no concern about the effect such a stance has on people and the planet. But very often the stigma is undeserved, and it’s clear that business leaders around the globe are seeing their role in returning our planet to health, particularly when it comes to climate change.

We at Allard PPC are happy to report that some of the business world’s biggest “movers and shakers” are meeting next week in London to talk about just that. The 2016 Business & Climate Summit gathers leaders in industry, government and finance to seek solutions to the threat of climate change.

The gathering aims to create a roadmap that will show business and industry how they can help in the short, medium and long range. The goal is to move as quickly as possible to a net zero carbon economy.

We know the solutions exist, but the will and the money to implement them is the next challenge. That said, we at Allard PPC and VRA Associates are optimistic about the future, thanks to meetings such as this one that will host some of the world’s most influential business leaders and policy makers.

Allard PPC and its sister company VRA Associates have for decades worked in our community to encourage good stewardship of the planet. And we’ve had some great results, particularly when it comes to improving water quality, both along the shore and for inland water bodies.

We didn’t do it alone, and that’s the point. No one can. So we are deeply grateful for partnerships with local government and neighborhood groups that made progress possible and significant.

At Allard PPC, we take seriously the role of trusted partner with your business. We consult on emerging best practices in web marketing to keep you on a proactive footing and have your back if you ever need us.
